A frequent keynote speaker at international conferences, Allyson has appeared on the platforms of The Global Peter Drucker Forum, The Conference Board and Financial Times Board Directors Programme.
Allyson Stewart-Allen applies her fluency in French and German and several years’ consulting experience to the company she founded, International Marketing Partners Consultants. She is the author of ‘Working with Americans’, the first-ever book exclusively about the US business culture. This helps professionals improve relationships and negotiating effectiveness with their American business partners, bosses and colleagues. The book was greeted with acclaim, and Allyson was invited to talk about it on Sky, various BBC radio programmes and at the Hay-on-Wye literary festival. Notably, working with Americans was the first ‘business’ book to feature at the festival. Allyson advises notable companies in e-business, professional services (including legal, financial and retail), retailing, food & drink, travel, consumer goods and industrial sectors.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from the University of Southern California, as well as an MBA from Claremont Graduate School. Allyson’s expert advice to US and European organisations typically enables them to achieve their marketing and business development strategies, which includes clients’ pursuit of strategic alliances, organic growth, their divestments and/or acquisitions of complimentary brands.
Allyson is listed in ‘Who’s Who in the World’, ‘Who’s Who in America’ and ‘Who’s Who Among Women’. She has recognised the need for international brands to better align their global and local marketing practices, and created the BrandBarometer™, which surveyed a worldwide panel of over 17,000 consumers across 17 countries on their perceptions and direct experiences of the world’s most recognised brands. In addition to Allyson’s 4-year slot on Sky News Business Report programme as the “Muse of Marketing,” she appears as a regular and frequent marketing expert on CNN’s World Business and Business International programmes.
She was awarded EFMD’s Excellence in Practice Award 2009 for her work as a Programme Director at London Business School and serves as an Associate Fellow at Said Business School – Oxford University. Allyson also co-founded CareerSkillsPlus, helping 16-18 year olds develop skills for the world of work. She is also a Faculty member of the Marketing Academy and an active Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Fellow of the British American Project, Member of the Marketing Society, Member of the American Marketing Association, International Women’s Forum and serves on the Senior Advisory Board of the Institute for Leadership Studies at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She was also a Senior Advisor for Business for Diplomatic Action, and serves as a judge of the US-based The Stevies® International Business Awards, the UK Women in Marketing Awards and the UK National Business Awards’ Excellence in Marketing category. In 2014, Allyson was recognised in The Female FTSE Report 2014:100 Women to Watch list produced by Cranfield’s International Centre for Women Business Leaders.
