Darren Hardy
Darren Hardy spent 15 years in the British Army from 2003 to 2017. His experiences left a lasting impact on him, including a seriously injured shoulder and a diagnosis of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). After being discharged, Darren became a double gold medallist and Warrior Games record breaker and took on a number of extreme endurance challenges, including 10 Ultra-distance triathlons in 10 days in 10 different UK locations.
About Darren Hardy
During his time in the British Army, Darren served in Northern Ireland and Iraq, with multiple exercises overseas, from Poland to Canada.
Sport and training became a big part of Darren’s rehabilitation after he was medically discharged with PTSD and a seriously injured shoulder. Wanting to push himself both mentally and physically, Darren’s extreme challenges are his way of creating a focus that enables him to better manage his PTSD.
As he plans and executes an event, he always has another one on his horizon.
Darren is also passionate about helping others and uses the seriously tough endurance challenges to raise awareness and funds for key charities including H-ABC Foundation, which is trying to find a cure for a genetic brain disease and KIN HUB, which supports struggling families with food deliveries.
