Launching the business in 2011, Cassandra built PROPER Snacks into Europe’s largest independent healthier snacking company. Cassandra is a first-class speaker on entrepreneurship and building a successful brand from scratch.

Cassandra Stavrou currently sits on the UK government’s food & drink sector council. Regarded as spearheading the healthy snacking boom in the UK, Cassandra was awarded an MBE in 2020 for her services to the food industry.
Cassandra Stavrou is the brains behind the PROPER brand, whose products are now sold in over 20 countries and continue to be listed in every major retailer. Proud to be one of the first food brands to recognise the true value of community and culture, PROPER has developed a much envied ‘cult-like’ audience along the way.
Determined to be a brand as sustainable and conscious as possible, PROPER became the first ever B Corp snacks company and was also the first popcorn brand to go palm oil free and Fairtrade.
Cassandra recently sold PROPER Snacks as part of a major deal to form one of Europe’s largest healthy snacking companies, WARP Snacks – creating a new challenger to the established market giants, with over £100m in sales. Cassandra navigated and completed the deal during the height of the UK’s unceremonious departure from the EU, the Covid-19 period, and all whilst being pregnant. Nonetheless, Cassandra remains both operational and on the board of WARP Snacks.
Furthermore, Cassandra is an active angel investor and advisor, backing the next generation of impact businesses.
