About Sally Boazman

Broadcaster and presenter Sally Boazman is one of the UK’s most familiar voices, best known as the iconic ‘Sally Traffic’ on BBC Radio 2. Since joining the station in 1999 as its first official travel news presenter, Sally has become a trusted and much-loved figure in British broadcasting, entertaining listeners nationwide with her warmth, humour and unmistakable voice.

Sally began her career in the current affairs department at London Weekend Television before moving into traffic reporting with the Automobile Association. She later worked with the British Forces Broadcasting Service, BBC World News and BBC GLR, building a reputation as a natural and engaging presenter before making her name at BBC Radio 2.

Described by Steve Wright as a “national treasure”, Sally has also appeared on television, voiced projects including TomTom navigation systems and presented events including the Sony Radio Academy Awards and the BBC documentary The Road to Nowhere. Her contribution to broadcasting has earned industry recognition, including the 2007 Gold Entertainment Award and the 2009 Truck & Driver Driver’s Choice Award for Best Traffic Information.
