About Felicia Johnson

Felicia Johnson is a passionate mental health advocate, author, and youth mentor, dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness and promoting suicide prevention. Drawing on her educational background in psychology and over a decade of experience in the mental health field, Felicia empowers audiences with practical insights, compassion, and hope.

An abuse survivor and life thriver, Felicia uses her story to inspire change and resilience. She is actively involved with organisations such as Youth Villages Inner Harbour, Personality Disorders Awareness Network (PDAN), and The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), where she has been honoured for her advocacy work. In 2015, she was recognised for organising the Women’s Empowerment Event for NAMI Augusta, GA.

Felicia is also the bestselling author of HER, a novel that earned a nomination for the Georgia Writers Association Author of the Year Award, reflecting her talent for storytelling and her commitment to raising awareness about mental health. She was also nominated for the Gutsy Gals Inspire Me Award.

Passionate about inspiring others, Felicia encourages aspiring writers to journal daily as a means of self-expression and healing. A proud Philadelphia native now based in Atlanta, she balances her work with her love of reading, exploring new cultures, learning languages, and, of course, indulging in her favourite treat – ice cream.
