About Owen O'Kane

Owen O’Kane has become one of the UK’s most respected voices on mental wellbeing. A former NHS Clinical Lead for mental health, he now runs a successful private psychotherapy practice while helping organisations and individuals better understand stress, resilience and emotional health.

Owen’s professional background spans frontline nursing, palliative care and mental health services. Working with terminally ill patients gave him a unique perspective on life, helping him understand the worries, pressures and regrets that often prevent people from living fully and happily.

His experiences growing up in Northern Ireland during The Troubles also shaped his understanding of anxiety, fear and resilience, providing insights that continue to influence his work today.

Owen is the author of several bestselling books, including Ten To Zen, which became a Sunday Times bestseller and has been translated into 13 languages. He has since gone on to publish Ten Times Happier, How to Be Your Own Therapist and Addicted to Anxiety, helping readers around the world develop healthier relationships with their thoughts and emotions.

A regular contributor across television, radio and print media, Owen has appeared on programmes including Good Morning Britain, BBC News, Sky News, ITV News and BBC Radio 2, while also contributing to national newspapers and magazines.

Combining professional expertise with warmth, humour and practical advice, Owen delivers engaging keynote speeches that leave audiences feeling empowered, challenged and equipped with tools to improve their mental wellbeing.
