Matthew’s significant contributions to AI governance include serving as sub-editor of ISO/IEC 8183 AI Data Lifecycle Standard, which was adopted by the ISO in 2023 and subsequently by the European Committee for Standardisation in 2024. This standard impacts AI governance across 165+ countries in a market projected to reach USD 3.68 trillion.
