About Anne Diamond

Anne Diamond is one of the UK’s most respected broadcasters and health campaigners. A household name since pioneering breakfast television in the 1980s with TV-am, Anne has interviewed world leaders, celebrities, and politicians from Sydney Harbour to the Brandenburg Gate, No.10 Downing Street to war-torn Bosnia. She also fronted Good Morning with Anne and Nick on BBC1 and is now a familiar voice on BBC Radio Berkshire.

Beyond her broadcasting career, Anne is celebrated for her powerful health advocacy work. Following the tragic loss of her son Sebastian to cot death, she led the 1991 ‘Back to Sleep’ campaign, which helped reduce SIDS rates in the UK by 80%. For this life-saving work, she became the first non-medic to be awarded the Gold Medal of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

Anne has since campaigned on issues including autism, cervical cancer, dyslexia, vaccinations, and obesity, becoming Patron of the National Obesity Forum. Her personal experience with weight loss and bariatric surgery inspired her to write Winning the Fat War and front the acclaimed documentary Anne Diamond’s War on Fat. She also runs Buddy Power, a free online weight-loss support community with thousands of members.

An accomplished event host, speaker and panellist, Anne brings decades of experience, warmth, and insight to the stage. Whether sharing her journey through journalism, grief, health recovery, or motherhood, she connects with audiences through compassion, humour and an unwavering commitment to making lives better.
