Andrew Castle
Andrew Castle is one of the UK’s most decorated live sports broadcasters and former men’s singles tennis UK No. 1. A seasoned after-dinner speaker and award show host, he has participated in events for a vast list of clients including Barclays, The Sunday Times and BP.
About Andrew
Andrew Castle retired from professional tennis in 1992. Since then he has worked with the UK’s leading broadcasters. These include Sky, the BBC, ITV, Smooth radio and LBC. He currently hosts LBC’s weekend breakfast show covering a range of the major stories both in the UK and worldwide.
Andrew Castle began as a commentator and broadcaster for Sky before joining GMTV in 2000. He was there for 10 years. During his time at GMTV he interviewed the great and the good including everyone from Tony Blair, to Beyoncé. He also led the station’s coverage of the Iraq War and Al Qaeda.
Andrew has also presented quiz shows ‘Perseverance’ and ‘Divided’. He was also a regular guest presenter on Ch5’s popular panel show ‘The Wright Stuff’. In addition to his own presenting career Andrew has found time to take part in some of Britain’s best loved shows. These include BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing, ITV’s 71Degrees North, Mastermind, Masterchef and Who Wants to be a Millionaire.
An integral member of the BAFTA-nominated BBC tennis team Andrew has led the commentary on the last 15 Wimbledon finals. This annual event that attracts over 10 million viewers.
