About Martina Navratilova

Martina Navratilova is widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players in history. Over a remarkable career spanning four decades, she won an unprecedented 59 Grand Slam titles, including 18 singles, 31 women’s doubles and 10 mixed doubles championships. She remains the record holder for both singles and doubles titles won, with 167 singles and 178 doubles titles to her name.

A dominant force throughout the 1980s, Martina won a record nine Wimbledon singles titles and achieved a 74-match singles winning streak. Inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2000, she continued competing at the highest level before retiring in 2006 after winning the US Open mixed doubles title just weeks before her 50th birthday.
