An accomplished events host too Vassos saw his book  Don’t Stop Me Now published in March 2016.  In it he charts his rise from couch potato to accomplished marathon runner. Describing it as part escapee, part self-discovery, part therapy and part fitness, the book is a funny and inspiring. It is also a book for anyone with a pair of well-worn trainers by the door… or thinking of buying a pair. 

 

Biography

Vassos Alexander is one of the best-known sports broadcasters in the country. Every morning he’s heard by million’s as an integral part of the Chris Evans Breakfast show on Virgin Radio.

Moving over from the BBC with Chris in 2019 Vassos has been a broadcaster for many years.  He also presented an evening show on BT Sport and a was a regular commentator on BBC Radio and Television.  Vassos has covered almost every sporting event you can think of.  That is to say everything rom the Olympics to The Ashes, Wimbledon to Wentworth. And the World Cup to the World Darts and interviewed most of the big names in sport.

Vasso Alexander Runs… and runs and runs

He’s also a keen runner who’s completed several 3-hour marathons, an Ironman triathlon (2.4m swim, 112m bike, 26.2m run) and has discovered the joys of fell running. In fact, he is such a convert to the powers and wonders of running that he has written three books about it.
