His journey commenced in the realms of diplomacy and exploration, where he was the first to traverse Afghanistan post the US-UK invasion and became a Deputy Governor in two Iraqi provinces at the age of 29. Esteemed publications like The New York Times and Esquire magazine have described Rory as living one of the most remarkable lives on record and naming him one of the century's top 100 influential figures.

Rory Stewart’s expertise extends to advising the leaders of the US and UK on Afghanistan and the Middle East policies and mastering 11 languages.
As a senior fellow at Yale University’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, Rory has taught politics and international relations. His contributions to literature, particularly through his memoir ‘Politics on the Edge,’ have earned critical acclaim and recognition as a ‘best book of 2023,’ offering an insightful look into the intricacies of political life.
In 2010, Rory Stewart became a Conservative MP. His ascent in government was marked by his service in various capacities, including Environment Minister, International Development Minister of State, Africa Minister of State, and Prisons Minister of State. His leadership was instrumental in fostering relations with South Asian countries and revitalising the UK’s strategy in Africa, leading to increased engagement and resource allocation in the region.
