About Kate Silverton
A trusted and familiar face on British television, Kate’s journalism career saw her cover some of the most significant stories of recent decades. After leaving a successful corporate career to pursue her passion for journalism, she joined the BBC and quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the corporation’s leading news presenters. Her work has taken her from the frontlines of conflict reporting in Iraq and Afghanistan to interviewing world leaders, covering royal events and reporting from the Academy Awards in Hollywood. Alongside her news broadcasting, she also produced and presented documentaries for the BBC’s flagship current affairs programme, Panorama.
