About Maryam Moshiri
Maryam Moshiri is one of the UK’s most respected broadcasters, combining extensive expertise in both business and international news. She spent 16 years as Lead Business Presenter for BBC News, fronting the BBC’s flagship business programmes including World Business Report, Talking Business and Business Briefing. She was also the face of business coverage on Afternoon Live and has presented the BBC One 8pm News Bulletin, appeared on BBC Breakfast and hosted the BBC’s Budget coverage.
Throughout her career, Maryam has reported on many of the defining global business stories of the past two decades, from the economic impact of 9/11 to the global financial crisis. She has interviewed some of the world’s most influential business leaders, economists and investors, including Jeff Bezos, Reed Hastings and Willie Walsh, bringing clarity and insight to complex international issues.
Beyond broadcasting, Maryam has presented documentaries for BBC Radio 4, made a cameo appearance as herself in a Hollywood film, and captained a University College London team to the semi-finals of Christmas University Challenge.
