Jon Courtenay

Jon Courtenay was thrust into the spotlight back in 2020 when Ant and Dec awarded him the Golden Buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent. He made history as the first golden buzzer act to go on and win the whole show! In July 2021, Jon then went on to win ‘Best performer’ at the National Reality TV Awards in London.

About Jon Courtenay

Jon Courtenay, since winning Britain’s Got Talent, has gone on to perform at the prestigious Royal Variety Show, Good Morning Britain, This Morning, Lorraine and BBC Breakfast. He has performed on numerous radio stations and even wrote and performed a song for the End of the Show Show on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. Jon has performed for hundreds of corporate and private events, making each appearance totally bespoke and personal.

Biography

Jon Courtenay originally hails from Ipswich but now lives in Greater Manchester with his wife and two sons. Starting his career as an actor and comedy magician, Jon gradually became more and more attached to his piano, and is now renowned for his original comedy songs. Way before his rise to fame on BGT, Jon collected years’ worth of experience as a live performer touring the world. He is also one of the rare British performers who is hugely popular with American audiences and constantly ion demand in the States.

After being diagnosed with cancer, Jon became special ambassador for the charity Skcin, and has also done work for the incredible Macmillan Cancer Support.

Jon has recently toured the UK and will be appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer. He will be performing his one-man musical about comedy and cancer. Autumn 2022 will see Jon take to touring the UK once more and he also has several TV shows in the pipeline so watch this space!
