About Jaega Wise

Jaega Wise is passionate about sharing her own story and knowledge to inspire other women in business and help elevate their careers. Warm, energetic, and an adept presenter and hosts beer masterclasses and pairing events across the country, Jaega is a natural communicator. She impresses audiences with her knowledge of beer and is a perfect after dinner speaker for food and beverage events.

Biography

Jaega Wise’s background is in chemical engineering. She headed first into a job as a Process Technician for General Electric’s Water Division. This was followed by a move to London for a commercial role in the industry. Namely switching to international chemical import & trading.

Today she combines her expertise in mathematics, engineering & logistics and a love of all things beer to leads the award-winning brewing team at Wild Card as Head Brewer.

Jaega is vocal about equal representation within the brewing community. She spearheaded an industry-wide ruling in the UK that banned sexist, homophobic, and racist labelling on beer.  Furthermore, she works closely with her brewing mentor to build and grow the International Women’s Collaboration Brew network. Through this network she unites female brewers across the globe to learn, talk shop, and network.

Most importantly Jaega combines her expertise in engineering, mathematics, logistics and a love of all thing’s beer in her speeches.  She has been leading the brewing team at Wild Card since 2012. Named one of London’s most influential figures in the Evening Standard’s Progress 1000 she was also Brewer of the Year in 2018.

Jaega Wise is also one of the core presenters of The Food Programme on BBC Radio Four.
