About Chris Roebuck

Chris Roebuck has been helping leaders like you, and their organisations, break free from underperformance, overcome stress, and achieve more. The challenge? Too much work, too little time. The solution? A powerful approach that drives success, maximises impact, and unlocks the full potential of teams.

Chris’s leadership journey didn’t begin in the corporate world – it started on the front lines as an officer in the British Army. Leading teams in high-pressure, high-stakes environments, he quickly learned that success comes down to three things: optimising time, bringing out the best in people, and focusing on excellence.

This elite training laid the foundation for his work with senior leaders at top organisations. As Head of Management Development at HSBC Investment Bank, Global Head of Leadership at UBS, and Head of Culture Change at London Underground, as well as consulting for KPMG and others, Chris realised one fundamental truth:

Every leader faces the same two problems:

1. Too much work
2. Not enough time

Solving these challenges can unlock up to 30% more effort from 60% of your people, transforming performance and catapulting you into the top 20% of leaders in your industry. The cost of not solving them? A huge missed opportunity.

That’s why Chris created his human-centric “Accelerate Your Success” system—a proven framework built on 20+ years of guiding top business leaders. His approach helps leaders gain more time, more performance, and more impact.

Here’s how it works:

Actionable insights – Chris blends leadership expertise, real-world business examples, and neuroscience-backed strategies to show you exactly how to achieve more.
Unlocking hidden potential – He helps leaders identify and leverage their strengths to drive higher success.
Personalised action plans – Every audience member leaves with a clear, tailored roadmap to apply what they’ve learned.

And it works. Thierry Garnier, CEO of FTSE 100 Kingfisher Group, told Chris after his keynote:
💬 “I found what you said really interesting, so I took notes to see what action I can take.”

Chris’s keynotes deliver real impact, helping leaders:
– Build High-Performance Teams
– Maximise Employee Engagement
– Create a Culture of Success
– Drive Change & Transformation

And the results? Potentially adding 10% to your bottom line, at no extra cost!

Chris has already helped 24,000+ leaders across 27 countries from Huawei, BASF, Tata, UK & UAE Prime Ministers’ Offices, Goldman Sachs, and the NHS to the Red Cross, Reuters, and even the Chinese Space Programme.

Recognised as one of HR’s Most Influential Thinkers 10 times, Chris is also the BBC’s go-to business leadership expert and has been featured in Newsweek, FT, The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and more.

High Performance Leadership

The two fundamental challenges that leaders face are “too much work” and “not enough time”. These prevent you from achieving your true potential to be a high performing leader.

This then holds you back from getting the best from your people, which then reduces the performance of your team and the organisation. Chris solves this problem by showing you how you can become human centric and high performing and make your team the same through a proven formula to Accelerate Your Success.

Amongst other things this could find you ½ a day extra time a week and put you in the top 20% of performers compared to your peers in other organisations for the rest of your career.

Chris has personal experience of both delivering high performance personally and developing high performing leaders in the military, business, and government. In business he’s worked organisations as diverse as BASF, BD Pharmaceutical, Huawei, UAE Prime Ministers Office and the Chinese Space Programme to help their leaders become High Performing.

Maximise Employee Engagement

Employee engagement – people giving their best – is the engine of success for any organisation. But the reality is most organisations are significantly underperforming on their potential to get the best from their people because their leaders simply don’t understand employee engagement well enough.

The real challenge is how you can increase the number of people in your team who are engaged and giving their best by being more human centric. To achieve this you probably need to understand employee engagement in more depth, eg the difference between engaged, not engaged, and disengaged. And then how to move people to become fully engaged. Quite simply most leaders have never been told what they need to know about employee engagement to be successful. Chris gives you that vital information and shows you how to maximise engagement.

Chris has studied employee engagement, written articles on it, featured it in his books, and shown leaders how to improve it for many organisations such as KPMG, Tata Communications and HSBC. It works – a house construction company he worked with in two years moved the engagement score for “I would recommend this as a great place to work for friends or family” from 40% to 82%. And significant performance and financial benefits also followed.

Successful Culture & Change / Transformation in Uncertain Times

Often even doing “business as usual” presents a challenge for most leaders as they are under pressure to deliver. Then if change and transformation needs to happen it not only adds to the pressure but also creates uncertainty.

To be able to deliver business as usual and successfully deliver change in uncertain environments requires leaders to think differently and to have excellent human centric leadership and management skills.

Chris has led work on several successful major transformations in organisations as diverse as London Underground, UBS and UK National Health Service. The transformation at UBS is now a Harvard case study on successful integration and change in uncertainty. Chris was Hon Visiting Professor of Transformational Leadership at Cass Business School 2009-22.

He enables you to create an environment of certainty amidst the uncertainty which then allows individuals and teams to be more motivated, effective, resilient and aligned to what needs to be done.  Within this Chris shows how Entrepreneurial Leadership can be developed so leaders can use change and uncertainty as an opportunity not a threat to envision and then deliver a better future.

Human Leadership and AI

AI can bring significant benefits to both leaders and organisations. However AI professionals are clear that it is not a silver bullet for success as its application must be based on optimal use cases.

The reality is that AI will never be optimised without HI (Human Intelligence).

Not only that but perhaps the greatest challenge with making AI work its effective implementation. That requires leaders and people in your organisation to see the benefit which AI can bring them, to understand how it works, to be able to identify optimum use cases and then have the skills and capabilities to implement it.

Chris has spoken to audiences on how this can be achieved and even been asked to address Chief Digital Officers on the people challenges around AI so that they can better understand their role in enabling AI to achieve its potential through people as well as tech.
