Anthony Bennett
Anthony Bennett is an experienced Inspirational Speaker with 15 years under his belt. He had 12 cardiac arrests and a 10% survival rate after contracting a string of infections following a school trip to Disneyland Paris in 2006. Anthony's story tells his journey, shedding light on the power of teamwork, saying yes to opportunities and overcoming adversity in a powerful way, leaving audience members hanging on to his every word. In 2015, Anthony was named one of the happiest people in the UK by the Independent on Sunday.
About Anthony Bennett
Anthony is an ex-patient of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. He takes audiences on a visual journey through his extremely near death experience, after returning from a school trip to Disneyland Paris in 2006 that left him fighting for his life.
After what many would consider being a miracle, Anthony was given only a 10% chance or survival, but has made a full recovery and is inspiring businesses, schools, and organisations with his optimism and bubbly personality.
Anthony brings to light the importance of teamwork, from the perspective of his family and the medical professionals during his time in hospital and how everyone from surgeons, to the cleaners who cleaned around his bed twice a day, played a valuable role when it came down to saving his life.
In 2006, after returning from a trip to Disneyland Paris Anthony fell extremely ill and was left fighting for his life.
The cause was narrowed down to the air conditioning within the coach and affected 80% of students on the trip but left Anthony with:
- 10% chance of survival after contracting multiple viral infections
- He suffered from a seizure whilst in a coma
- He was resuscitated and brought back to life an amazing 12 times
- He relearnt how to walk, talk, and breathe again after spending 3 weeks on an Extra Corporal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) machine.
After making a full recovery, Anthony played a major role in winning a £7.5m Charity Partnership between Whitbread PLC and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, where he spent 4 years traveling the UK and Inspiring teams to get involved in raising the much-needed funds for the children’s charity.
He went on the be named one of the happiest people in the UK in the Independent on Sunday’s 2015 Happy List, a programme recognised by the Prime Minister for his efforts in enriching the lives of others, making Britain a better place.
Now an International Motivational Speaker, Anthony inspires audiences globally.

LONGER SESSION (90mins)
Anthony has now developed a longer interactive 90mins session.
Consisting of 60 to 70mins speech, Anthony talks through the two voices many people have in their imagination. The ‘Dreamer’ voice that always wants the best for us and the ‘Puller-backer’ voice that tries to talk us out of ideas.
He invites members of the audience on stage to step out of their comfort zones and to follow the Dreamer voice to share something that makes them proud of themselves, something they have overcome, reasons for why they chose their profession or simply a thank you to someone that has helped them along their journey.
Creating a safe space to interact, the sessions have proven to be incredibly inspirational and work well for those organisations looking for slightly longer sessions.
