How to book a mental health speaker

Booking a mental health speaker for your event may seem like a daunting process. However, with the help of The Speakers Agency, we can transform this process into a comfortable and happy experience. We always provide you with a variety of suitable options who will leave your company feeling educated, enlightened and totally inspired to create change.

Here is our detailed guide on how to book a mental health speaker for your next event:

  1. Create a brief

The first step towards booking a mental health speaker is to create a brief that details all the specifics about your particular event. The more information you can include here, the more suitable our suggestions for mental health speakers will be. The key things to know when going into this process are:

  • When is the event and where is it being held?
  • Who will be in the audience?
  • Will your mental health event be live, hybrid or virtual?
  • What is your budget? An £x-£x bracket will help us eliminate those whose fees exceed your available budget.

Extra information such as details about whether you need to record and/or market the event are also really valuable to know, as often these can affect a mental health speaker’s fees. The most important thing is to collate as much information about the event as possible.

You can then send this brief over, either as an email to enquiries@thespeakersagency.com or by filling out the contact form on our website. Equally, we are happy to discuss this with you in the first instance on the telephone on +44(0)1332 810 481.

  1. Review the shortlist

Once The Speakers Agency have received your brief, we can make appropriate suggestions for mental health speakers that suit both the nature of the event and the budget that you have.

Our mental health speakers’ fees range from £1500 through to £200,000, so whatever your budget, we’re confident we can find a speaker who fits the bill!

  1. Securing your chosen speaker

Once you have reviewed the options provided, you will likely want to confirm your choice. Following this, we will email you a booking contract for signing and you can sit back and wait in anticipation for your event!

Nearer to the time, if required, there will be a maximum 30-minute briefing call with your chosen mental health speaker. A briefing call enables both you and the speaker to discuss exactly how the event will run and what you and your audience would like to get out of the event specifically.

If you are looking to book a mental health speaker, please email enquiries@thespeakersagency.com or call us on +44 (0) 1332 810 481.

*On certain occasions, usually for a very high-profile speaker, we will require you to sign a Firm Offer Form in advance which is slightly different to our usual Booking Form. In simple terms, this commits you to the booking at a slightly earlier stage than signing a normal Booking Contract. It serves as a formal and binding offer to the speaker and lets them know that if they accept the invitation to speak or host, this is essentially a done deal that you are already committed to proceeding with. In most cases, this is not necessary, but do not hesitate to ask one of our friendly booking agents if you would like further clarity on how this works!
