About Jill Nalder
Jill’s West End credits include Ensemble/ Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables, and the Original Cast of (Oscar winning) Sam Mendes’ production of Oliver! at the London Palladium. Extensive West End concert work includes Hello Dolly with Chita Rivera and Carol Channing also at The Palladium, My One and Only and The Cole Porter Centennial at The Prince Edward Theatre and The Les Miserables 10th Anniversary Concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Before lockdown she appeared in the feature film “Finding Your Feet” starring Joanna Lumley and Imelda Staunton.
On tour and in repertory she has appeared in Annie, no less than three times, Cabaret, Godspell, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, The Hobbit, The Wizard of Oz, Nunsense, Oliver!, Stepping Out!, Whistle Down The Wind and The World Premier of Sugar [Some Like It Hot] at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. She appeared twice in the role of Miss Mazeppa in Gypsy at The Sheffield Crucible and in her home town at The Grand Theatre Swansea.
She is a founder member and principal singer with her company The WestEnders. They have made three successful albums and for more than fifteen years have performed musical theatre concerts all over the UK and around the World.
She is proud to have been one of the founders and first Chairperson of West End Cares, the theatre branch of Crusaid (now called Theatre MAD) Make A Difference. To date the charity has raised upwards of £10 million for people affected by HIV/AIDS.
Her first book “Love from The Pink Palace” was published last year and was shortlisted for the Royal Society of Literature’s Christopher Bland Award and is currently short-listed for the Polari Prize which celebrates LGBTQ+ writing.
