About Stuart Pearce MBE
Stuart Pearce spent 12 years at Nottingham Forest, 11 of which as Club Captain, leading the team with his fierce leadership and defensive prowess. Stuart also played for Newcastle United, West Ham United, and Manchester City, where he concluded his playing career by helping them win the Championship.
Internationally, Stuart earned 78 caps for England, captaining the team on nine occasions. His memorable penalty celebration during Euro ’96 remains one of football’s most iconic moments. In recognition of his contributions to the sport, Stuart was awarded an MBE in 1999.
Transitioning into management, Stuart led Manchester City and the England U21 team, guiding them to four successive U21 European Championships. He also had the honour of managing the Great Britain squad at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
