These careers and the many achievements he has accumulated within them allow Soul to be flexible and diverse in his presentation style and audience range. He can both educate as well as inspire a room, whether it’s giving talks on career performance enhancement from his background in sport and sports psychology, to sharing his ideas and current research on increasing access to work for disabilities and supporting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Biography

Souleyman Bah is a Gold medalist international athlete, a history making entrepreneur as well as a voice for change in the disability community. He has many achievements under his belt already at such a young age of 23 however his biggest passion  is to inspire a room full of people at any given opportunity. He doesn’t believe in dry powerpoint presentations stating facts and figures, instead he believes in harnessing the power we all have inside of us and allowing you to be inspired and motivated to move your goals forward in life. He was diagnosed with a rare eye condition and was told would go completely blind in adulthood however he has a mantra that he lives by ‘When you wake up every morning and see less and less of the faces of the people you love, you worry about one day going blind. But when your vision for the future is so strong you realise that what you see is what you see, but what you don’t see is where the magic begins.’

A multifaceted public speaker, Souleyman has a wealth of knowledge and experience in many industries from sport, business and disability activism as well as the media industry and personal development to name a few.

Coming to the UK at the age of five as an asylum seeker, struggling through an undiagnosed eye condition and being brought up in poverty, all have failed to deter him from being a high achieving individual in society. His first notable achievement and the catalyst to his paralympic pathway came from representing team GB at the Paralympic school games in Brazil 2015 where he became an international champion by winning a gold medal in the T13 100m sprint. This then propelled him to sporting stardom, becoming a role model and shining light to those with visual impairments wanting to take up the sport. Following this, he was inspired to embrace the world of business and launch many ventures and projects. These include the integration of Virtual Reality technology into professional athlete training regimes. After which he then became a widely requested national public speaker providing physical and mental health support assemblies and classes for educational institutions across the country.

Most recently, Soul has been helping other entrepreneurs realise their own business potential by being a business coach and mentor and has seen over a dozen companies become widely recognised and high earners in their field. His claim to fame in the business world is becoming the first ever disabled candidate in Lord Sugar’s boardroom in the 15th Series of The Apprentice. His motivation for this was realising the discrimination and lack of support experienced by disabled people wanting to start and pursue their business ideas. Seeing the level of structure, support and respect disabled individuals receive in the paralympic games he wanted to bring the same level of awareness or at least start a discussion around this topic which he successfully did with many publications, articles and forums being sparked from his participation on the show.

If given the opportunity, Souleyman will not fail to inspire your school, business or organisation, and will ensure that anyone able to hear his captivating story and method for success will leave feeling enthused, uplifted and ready to level up in their own personal journeys.
