About Souleyman Bah

Gold medal-winning athlete, entrepreneur and motivational speaker Souleyman Bah is one of the UK’s most inspiring young voices on resilience, mindset and overcoming adversity. Combining lived experience with infectious energy and authenticity, Souleyman delivers powerful talks that challenge audiences to rethink limitations, unlock potential and take action towards their goals.

Diagnosed with a rare degenerative eye condition at a young age, Souleyman was told he would eventually lose his sight. Rather than allowing this to define him, he developed the mindset that continues to shape his life and career today: “What you see is what you see, but what you don’t see is where the magic begins.”

Originally arriving in the UK as an asylum seeker at the age of five, Souleyman grew up facing poverty, uncertainty and the challenges of living with an undiagnosed visual impairment. Despite these obstacles, he excelled both academically and athletically, eventually representing Team GB at the Paralympic School Games in Brazil in 2015, where he won gold in the T13 100m sprint and became an international champion.

His success in sport opened the door to wider opportunities and established him as a role model for young people and aspiring athletes with disabilities. Alongside his sporting achievements, Souleyman developed a strong passion for business and entrepreneurship, launching ventures focused on innovation, including projects exploring the use of Virtual Reality technology within elite athlete training programmes.

Souleyman later became a highly sought-after speaker for schools, universities, businesses and organisations across the UK, delivering talks and workshops focused on mindset, mental wellbeing, motivation, inclusion and personal development. His approach is engaging, energetic and deeply personal, centred around storytelling and human connection rather than traditional corporate presentations.

He is also widely recognised for appearing on the 15th series of The Apprentice, where he became the first disabled candidate to enter Lord Sugar’s boardroom. His participation sparked important conversations around disability representation, accessibility and the barriers faced by disabled entrepreneurs in business.

Today, Souleyman works as a mentor and business coach, helping aspiring entrepreneurs build confidence, develop ideas and realise their potential. Through his speaking and mentoring, he continues to champion greater inclusion while empowering audiences to push beyond perceived limitations and create meaningful change in their own lives.

Whether speaking to corporate teams, students or leadership audiences, Souleyman brings passion, perspective and a genuinely uplifting message that leaves audiences inspired, energised and ready to take action.
