Simon Jack
Simon Jack is BBC Business Editor and also an event presenter, speaker and moderator. Simon’s current BBC role sees him deliver the most import business stories to BBC audiences across TV, radio and digital platforms.
About Simon Jack
Simon Jack is the current Business and Economics Correspondent on Radio 4’s flagship Today programme. Simon is utterly charming, and informed; his financial journalism, broadcasting and experience in awards hosting, make him an experienced and insightful financial keynote speaker.
Simon has appeared on the BBC’s One o’clock, Six o’clock and Ten O’clock News. He was also once the face of BBC Breakfast’s Business News. During the banking crisis in September 2006 he covered the Federal takeover of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the Bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, the bailout of AIG and the Lloyds TSB takeover of HBOS.
James Harding, Director of BBC News and Current Affairs describes Simon as a forensic interrogator of business and having the financial judgement and pithy turn of phrase to serve him well in telling, breaking and explaining business stories that matter.
Prior to entering the world of news-casting, Simon spent ten years in commercial and investment banking in London, New York and Bermuda and has a degree in PPE from Oxford University.
In April 2015 Simon filmed a special and very personal edition of Panorama, in which he investigated why more middle-aged men kill themselves than any other group.

Testimonials
"Simon was really well received by everyone. He mingled with guests pre-dinner and gave a very amusing and topical speech. He'd done his homework with a lengthy conversation with our director general prior to his speech which was very well received and humorous. He is a very likeable chap and we'd have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone else."
"He explained a complex and challenging topic with clarity and humour, and he was brilliant at the Q&A. The audience was mesmerised!"
