About Nadine Dereza
Nadine Dereza is an award-winning broadcaster and journalist, presenting business, news and entertainment programmes on TV. She chairs, hosts and facilitates conferences, panel discussions and live events for a diverse range of clients across many industries and sectors in the UK and internationally. Nadine recently presented for the world’s number one business and financial news network CNBC – hosting their technology programme IoT: Powering the Digital Economy, investigating how digital innovation is reshaping industries.
Nadine co-produces and co-hosts The Television Podcast for the Royal Television Society London, with a roster of contributors and journalists including titans of television, media moguls and industry giants who live and breathe TV. Nadine has also presented for Associated Press, BBC, CNN, SABC, Simply Money, Sky TV, Summit TV and Talk Radio. With her in-depth knowledge of business and finance, she was named ‘Financial Journalist of the Year’ during her time at the Financial Times and Summit TV. Over the years, she has worked with the full business spectrum – from entrepreneurs to management teams to CEOs and has interviewed key policy and decision makers, as well as countless global politicians.
The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills appointed Nadine as a Non-Executive Director of the WorldSkills London Board. This was for the duration of the ‘Skills Olympics’ 4-year project to promote best practice apprenticeships and vocational training in the UK. She played an integral role in changing the way apprenticeships were perceived by pupils, parents, carers, teachers, employers and policy makers. In doing so, she helped to lay the foundations for ‘WorldSkills UK Live’ – the largest experiential skills, apprenticeships and careers event in the UK.
Nadine is the founder and Media Director of Babaco Media, communication skills specialists who prepare clients for media interviews, presentations, crisis planning and parliamentary committee hearings. She is a Non- Executive Director for virtuall, a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), and an Ambassador for Workers’ Educational Association (WEA).
Nadine is a judge for The International Broadcasting Convention’s ‘Accelerators Media Innovation Programme’; The Business Books Awards; and Young Enterprise. She is co-author of the 5-star rated best seller Insider Secrets of Public Speaking.
Nadine started her presenting career as one of the first female football presenters and commentators. Initially working as the Match Day Announcer and DJ at QPR FC and Wembley Stadium, before transferring to anchor and present for Spurs TV working alongside the Sky Sports Production Team.
