Melissa Porter

Melissa now lives in Cheshire with her new partner – Nick Freeman, a criminal defence lawyer, who has recently adopted her son. This is her first book, but she still makes a living coaching, presenting and developing properties.

Many people will recognise her from the numerous shows she presented on TV over the last 22 years on the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, including “To Buy Or Not To Buy”, “Escape to the Country”, “Countryfile”, “Britain’s Dream Homes”, “Get a New Life” and “Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is”. She still regularly gets hired to front corporate videos and host live events and awards.

Melissa is also an accomplished writer and has written travel, property and lifestyle articles for Cheshire Life, Google, Yahoo and AOL. She has been brand ambassador for various luxury brands, including Ferrari and Miele and in her early career worked in marketing for big brands like Marks and Spencer, Playtex Wonderbra and The Body Shop where some of her work won awards.She grew up in Alderley Edge and went to Manchester Metropolitan University where she gained a 2.1 BA Honours in Retail and Marketing.
