About Mark Ritson

Mark Ritson is a globally respected marketing expert with over 25 years of experience as an academic, columnist, and consultant. A former marketing professor at London Business School, MIT Sloan, and Melbourne Business School, Mark holds a PhD in Marketing and has received numerous MBA teaching awards at institutions worldwide.

Alongside his academic career, Mark has worked as a high-level marketing consultant for an impressive client list that includes Johnson & Johnson, McKinsey, Shiseido, Subaru, Benefit, Unilever, and many more. For over a decade, he served as in-house brand consultant to LVMH, advising senior executives at iconic luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dom Pérignon and Hennessy.

Mark is also a celebrated columnist, best known for his long-running weekly column in Marketing Week. He has been named Business Columnist of the Year multiple times at the PPA Press Awards and the British Society of Magazine Editors Awards. His scholarly work has been published in Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, and leading marketing journals.

A brilliant and often provocative speaker, Mark is renowned for cutting through the jargon to deliver no-nonsense insights on brand strategy, marketing effectiveness, and commercial impact. He currently focuses on his acclaimed Mini MBA programmes and is an Honorary Fellow of the IPA.

Mark lives in Tasmania with his family and a pack of rescue dogs.
