About Linda Watts

Linda grew up in the small Staffordshire town of Wednesbury, she started singing when she was just six years old. She was a member of the local church choir and continued singing at Concerts and Festivals throughout her teenage years, whilst studying Music at the local Girls Grammar school.

Like so many famous names in music, Linda went on to study at the Guildhall School of Music in London.  She made her name in the field of popular classics, starring in BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night Is Music Night and Melodies For You, as well as singing in Gala Shows and Concerts with the BBC Concert Orchestra.

Her career encompassing both classical and light music takes her worldwide, from luxury liners cruising the Caribbean and South Pacific to Concert performances at the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, and Wigmore Hall, as well as Royal Gala Shows.

She has toured extensively with the Magic of the Musicals, Opera and Operetta, appearing at many of the country’s leading theatres and concert halls with choirs and orchestras and on nationwide tours with many top British stars, as well as singing with the Royal Military Bands of The Scots’ Guards, The Coldstream Guards, The Blues and Royals and The Royal Marines, including a memorable Last Night of The Proms VE Night commemoration.

Linda is a member of The Grand Order of Lady Ratlings. She works tirelessly to bring her love of music to the elderly and the infirmed and enjoys sharing her love of singing wherever she goes. She is proud to be associated with the Not Forgotten Association and Lest we Forget, who provide leisure and entertainment for disabled ex-servicemen and women.

Her charm, personality and beautiful voice have captivated audiences around the world. Now take this opportunity to listen to her story, and enjoy them for yourselves.
