About Laura Whitmore

Laura Whitmore hosts Castaway – the podcast about podcasts – as well as Spotify Original podcast Partners in Crime, and recently wrote and starred in her first short film, Salbhdh, for which she won Best Actress at the Irish Film Awards. Laura has also starred in the critically acclaimed 2:22 A Ghost Story on the West End playing the role of ‘Jenny’ and toured with the show when it played in Ireland.

Laura fronts her documentary series Laura Whitmore Investigates for ITV. She also appeared as the voice of Amazon Prime’s new dating show Date My Mate as well as hosting Laura Whitmore’s Breakfast Show which broadcast on ITV1 as a lifestyle and entertainment series, where Laura interviewed a compelling combination of celebrity guests and hosted topical chats.

Laura has interviewed some of the biggest musical artists in the world and her love for music is inherent throughout her career, leading her to DJ] at some of the biggest venues around the world.

With a degree in Journalism, Laura has always regarded writing as her first love. In 2018 her article expressing her views on Upskirting and the #MeToo and #TimesUp campaigns went viral after her publication in The Huffington Post was shared millions of times around the world. Laura has also written features on topics ranging from abortion to the effects of social media, for Grazia Magazine, Hot Press, Elle and Glamour. Her poem for International Women’s Day, She, was shared all over social media and Laura has also written a Sunday Times Bestseller, ‘No One Can Change Your Life Except For You’.
