Katie Piper

Katie Piper is a best-selling international author, inspirational speaker, TV presenter and charity campaigner. Hugely motivating, Katie talks about her life after surviving a brutal acid attack in March 2008 at the age of 24. Brave and determined, Katie gave up her anonymity and shared her story in the documentary 'Katie: My Beautiful Face' which was nominated for a BAFTA in 2010.

About Katie Piper

More than a decade ago, Katie Piper established The Katie Piper Foundation, a charity dedicated to assisting individuals with burns and scars in reintegrating into their communities and regaining their zest for life. Simon Cowell has been a steadfast supporter of Katie’s initiative, taking on the role of patron and continuing his active involvement up to the present. The foundation aspires to create a society where scars do not hinder an individual’s ability to function, participate socially, or enjoy a healthy sense of well-being. Achieving a significant milestone in the summer of 2019, they inaugurated a rehabilitation center in the UK, emulating the treatment services Katie benefitted from in France, aimed at aiding other survivors of burns.

Katie juggles her philanthropic efforts with her roles in the media, serving as a frequent panelist on ITV1’s Loose Women, and stepping in as a presenter for BBC Radio 2’s Early Morning Breakfast Show and Sunday mornings on the Michael Ball Show. She has also contributed to various television programs, including Channel 4’s ‘Never Seen a Doctor’, where she assists individuals in confronting their medical fears, and guiding them towards improved health, and ‘The Death of Aimee Spencer’ on ITV1. Her participations extend to Channel 4’s ‘Famous and Fighting Crime’, where she trained as a police special, and ‘Katie Piper’s Face to Face’, in which she arranged makeovers for women with facial conditions at London’s Harvey Nichols with makeup artists who share similar conditions. Katie has also hosted three seasons of ‘Body Shockers’ on Channel 4, helping people contemplating significant body alterations meet others who regret their decisions.

Katie’s influence reaches beyond television as she is a sought-after public speaker, sharing her motivational journey at events like WE Day, Women’s Health Live, and the Cosmopolitan Self Made Summit, as well as corporate gatherings at notable companies such as Google, Facebook, and the NHS.

Her entrepreneurial spirit has led her to collaborate with various brands, developing her line of products, including a fragrance and a bed linen and accessories range. She also represents beauty brands like Pantene, L’Oreal, and La Roche Posay as a brand ambassador.

Katie’s literary contributions include several bestsellers: two autobiographies, ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Beautiful Ever After’, an affirmations book ‘Start Your Day With Katie’, a self-help guide ‘Things Get Better’, ‘Confidence: The Secret’ along with an accompanying journal, and a collaboration with her mother ‘Things I’d Tell My Child’. She is also adapting her first book into a screenplay, with filming expected to begin in 2023.

Her publication, ‘A Little Bit of Hope’, was released in 2022, and her inaugural children’s book ‘All You Need’ hit the shelves in 2023.
