Jordon started saving money at age 15
His parents had split and his mother found it tough to pay the bills.
He saw a television show called ‘Extreme Couponing’ which gave him the inspiration to start looking for coupons.
After just a few weeks of researching and trying to perfect the craft, he managed to get huge shops such as £105 of food for £32, his Christmas dinner and all the trimmings for just 10p and the infamous £600 worth of shopping for which he paid 4p. From that point, he never wanted to pay full price again
Most importantly he wanted everybody to know how to get the best deals and change their lives through small changes to their spending. He attracted an impressive following very quickly and became a consumer champion. His mission: to change hearts and minds. Moreover, that using a coupon or voucher had no shame to it.
He spent four years as a writer for MoneySavingExpert
During this time he forced supermarkets to drop the prices of cotton buds and other products after exposing unfair pricing. Jordon also found many ways to ‘hack the high street’ . This included getting £2+ off the same Bacon Double Cheeseburger at Burger King, just by ordering a different way. To top it off, he went viral a few times for his money saving ways.
Most memorable moment to date was finding it £8 cheaper to get from Sheffield to Essex via Berlin, Germany, instead of taking a one-way train home. This quickly received worldwide media attention, Consequently overnight he became a consumer champion against sky-high train fares.
Since then, he now blogs full time for his group of loyal followers and is also a freelance writer for clients such as the Daily Mail, Mirror and The Sun.
