About Jane Dougall
Jane has covered some of the biggest moments in international football in recent years, including following the England Lionesses to victory at the Women’s Euros in Switzerland in 2025, reporting from Australia during the Women’s World Cup, and covering Scotland at the men’s Euros in Germany. Her work spans both the men’s and women’s games, underpinned by deep knowledge and journalistic rigour.
Prior to joining the BBC, Jane was a presenter and reporter for Sky Sports News, where she became a familiar face on high-pressure transfer deadline days. She also played a pivotal role in creating and presenting Sportswomen, the first television programme in Britain dedicated exclusively to women’s sport — a landmark moment in sports broadcasting.
Beyond football, Jane has covered a wide range of major sporting events, including golf and athletics, and since 2018 has been the host of the Scottish Women’s Football Awards. Her exuberant personality, combined with over 20 years of broadcasting experience, makes her a natural choice for live hosting, awards ceremonies and conference facilitation.
With a strong background in news journalism, Jane is equally adept at moderating debates and panel discussions. Her reporting experience includes covering Hillary Clinton during the US Primaries and reporting from Hurricane Katrina, equipping her with the skills to handle sensitive topics, diverse viewpoints and fast-moving conversations with confidence.
Outside of broadcasting, Jane is a keen hockey player, enjoys golf, and boxes, reflecting the energy and commitment she brings to everything she does — on and off stage.
