Dan Walker

Dan Walker is one of the UK’s most recognisable and respected broadcasters, currently leading 5 News on Channel 5. Since joining the channel, he has fronted prime-time shows such as Vanished: Britain’s Hunt for Missing People and the hugely popular Dan & Helen’s Pennine Adventure alongside Helen Skelton. In 2024, he expanded his portfolio by joining Classic FM to host their flagship Breakfast Show, bringing audiences the perfect start to their day with classical music and engaging conversation.

With over 20 years in journalism, Dan became a household name as the long-serving host of BBC Breakfast and Football Focus. His illustrious career in sports broadcasting has seen him cover five Olympic Games, five World Cups, NFL, Wimbledon, The Grand National, Royal Ascot, and the Six Nations. Beyond sport, Dan hosted BBC One’s game show Chase the Case and was a fan favourite on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021, making it to the quarter-finals.

A skilled and compassionate interviewer, Dan was chosen to present A Royal Team Talk: Tackling Mental Health with HRH The Duke of Cambridge. This powerful programme, featuring Gareth Southgate and Peter Crouch, received widespread acclaim and award nominations. His documentary Return to Kili, following his Comic Relief charity climb of Kilimanjaro, showcased his commitment to meaningful storytelling.

An accomplished author, Dan has penned multiple books, including Standing on the Shoulders and the bestselling Remarkable People. A keen golfer, he has raised over £250,000 for The Children’s Hospital Charity through his own tournament, The Walker Cup (not that one!). Proudly based in Sheffield with his wife, three children, and dog Winnie, Dan is a charismatic and engaging speaker, bringing warmth, insight, and experience to every event.
