About Andrew Castle
After retiring from professional tennis in 1992, Andrew transitioned into broadcasting and has since worked with some of the UK’s most prominent networks — including Sky, BBC, ITV, Smooth Radio and LBC, where he currently hosts the weekend breakfast show, covering major national and global stories.
Andrew began his media career as a commentator for Sky before joining GMTV, where he spent a decade interviewing some of the world’s most recognisable figures — from Tony Blair to Beyoncé — and fronting the station’s coverage of major global events such as the Iraq War and the rise of Al Qaeda.
Alongside news broadcasting, Andrew has showcased his versatility as the host of quiz shows Perseverance and Divided, and as a regular guest presenter on Channel 5’s panel show The Wright Stuff. He has also taken part in some of Britain’s best-loved entertainment shows, including Strictly Come Dancing, 71 Degrees North, Mastermind, MasterChef and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
A core member of the BAFTA-nominated BBC tennis team, Andrew has led the commentary for the last 15 Wimbledon finals, one of the most-watched sporting events in the UK, attracting over 10 million viewers each year.
An engaging, charismatic and highly entertaining speaker, Andrew Castle is an exceptional choice for corporate events — whether as an after-dinner speaker, motivational host, auctioneer, or master of ceremonies. His blend of sporting insight, broadcast experience and humour creates an unforgettable experience for every audience.
