About Romilly Weeks

Romilly Weeks has served as Royal Correspondent for ITV, even interrupting her maternity period to report from Westminster Abbey on the wedding of William and Kate. She interviewed some of the biggest guest names right through to the newsagents in Kate’s hometown, whom she asked the important question of whether Kate had any favourite sweets!

Biography

Romilly Weeks began her career as an actress, but after a short stint moved into broadcasting. In 2005 she secured a role as a regular broadcaster for ITV News, which is where she eventually went on to become Royal Correspondent and newscaster until 2008. Following this, she became a broadcaster for ITV London.

Furthermore, Romilly has appeared on a variety of discussion programmes and been a contributor to documentaries in countries around the world including the US, France and the UK.

During her time as Royal Correspondent, Romilly covered a total of 5 Royal tours, 2 weddings, 2 funerals and Diana’s death inquest where she reported daily from the High Court. Her high-profile interviewees over the years include members of the royal family through to prime ministers past and present.

As well as being a proud ambassador for the Prince’s Trust, Romilly has contributed to national newspapers and magazines.
