Hazel Irvine is one of the UK’s most respected sports broadcasters, with over 30 years of experience anchoring and reporting on some of the world’s most iconic sporting events. A familiar face to millions, Hazel’s credits span four World Cup Finals, Wimbledon, the London Marathon, the Boat Race, Final Score, and Channel 4’s pioneering women’s football programming of the late 1980s. Her exceptional contribution to sports journalism was recognised with the Royal Television Society’s Sports Presenter of the Year Award in 2007.

As a key figure on BBC Sport, Hazel has fronted coverage of major tournaments including The Open, The Masters, The Ryder Cup, The Solheim Cup, and the Women’s Open. She has also guided audiences through the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics and Commonwealth Games, including London 2012, where an estimated 28 million viewers tuned in for the opening ceremony.
