Farrah Storr

Farrah is currently Head of International at Substack, following a hugely successful editorial career in publishing. As editor-in-chief of ELLE, she led the iconic title through a major transformation into a modern multi-platform brand, significantly growing its reach and influence among younger audiences. Prior to this, she was the award-winning editor-in-chief of both Cosmopolitan and Women’s Health, where she played a pivotal role in shaping them into leading media brands with strong digital and commercial success.

Throughout her career, Farrah has built a reputation for combining creativity with commercial thinking, leading teams and businesses through periods of significant change in the fast-evolving media landscape. Her first book, The Discomfort Zone, explores how challenge, uncertainty and constraint can become powerful drivers of creativity, innovation and success.

Farrah has received numerous industry accolades including both the PPA Editor of the Year and BSME Editor of the Year awards. In 2022 she was awarded an MBE for services to the media industry. A passionate advocate for diversity and social mobility, she has served on boards including the government’s Social Mobility Commission, The National Theatre and the Oxford Brookes Journalism Advisory Board.

An experienced international speaker and moderator, Farrah has spoken at conferences around the world including in Portugal, Istanbul, Brazil and Australia. She regularly speaks on leadership, reinvention, creativity under pressure, brand voice, diversity and the future of media, and is known for delivering insightful, honest and engaging talks that blend personal experience with practical business insight.
