About Will Greenwood

Will Greenwood MBE is one of England’s greatest ever rugby players, as well as one of the sport’s most engaging, intelligent and witty characters.

Biography

Will Greenwood MBE made his international debut in 1997 and amassed 55 caps scoring 31 tries, the second highest in English history.  In the 2003 World Cup he was one of England’s most consistent performers, scoring 5 tries along the way.

Will Greenwood demonstrated an incredible in defence in the midfield and his running as sharp as ever, making him the kind of player that amateur players want to play like, and professionals want to play with. He later went on to tour with the British & Irish Lions in 2005 before deciding to hang up his boots at the end of the 2005/06 season.

With Will’s post playing career now in full swing, his Daily Telegraph newspaper column and work as a pundit on Sky Sports were always very well received and he was invited to join the IRB’s assessors as England’s representative for its player-of-the-year award in 2006.

Will used to operate on HSBC’s trading floor in rugby’s amateur days and his experiences both in the City and on the pitch have enabled audiences to get a fantastic insight to the synergy between top level sport and top level business. Will is co-founder of the business ‘Legend Holidays and Events’ which offers children and clients a unique opportunity to mix with some of the biggest names in sport.

Testimonials

Testimonials

"Will’s after dinner talk was very good and very well received by the audience with a fair amount of laughter! He was very co-operative throughout the evening, having photographs taken, networking and table-hopping between courses. We all found Will extremely personable and would not hesitate to book him again."
