Roger Black MBE is one of Britain’s most celebrated athletes, best known for his success in the 400m and 4x400m relay for Team GB. A former Olympic silver medallist, television presenter, entrepreneur and speaker, Roger brings powerful insight into resilience, teamwork, leadership and performing under pressure.

For more than 14 years, Roger represented Great Britain at the very highest level of international athletics, competing as both an individual 400m runner and a key member of the 4x400m relay team. Across an outstanding sporting career, he won 15 major championship medals, including Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth honours, establishing himself as one of Britain’s most respected track athletes.

Roger’s greatest sporting achievement came at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, where he won silver in the 400m. Widely admired for his resilience and determination, his success came despite overcoming a series of significant injuries throughout his career, making his story one of perseverance as much as performance.

Awarded an MBE in 1992 for services to sport, Roger has since built a successful career as a television presenter, business owner and speaker.
