Pat Sharp
Pat Sharp is an award-winning radio DJ and TV presenter, whose exciting career has spanned decades. He broadcasts across the UK on Greatest Hits Radio every Saturday and Sunday morning, along with a Friday afternoon show on Norway's National retro station P 8 Pop. As well as his broadcasting, Pat is highly in demand as a host for award ceremonies and black tie events.
About Pat Sharp
Pat Sharp is perhaps best known as the host of ITV’s highly popular FunHouse, which he hosted for ten years. More recently, on both TV & radio Pat has voiced commercials for Pampers, Warner Bros Cinemas, Sodastream, Rice Krispies Squares and many more. He hosts many live PA’s and corporate events across the UK, and regularly plays in Ibiza, Norway, Austria, & Dubai. He was also the DJ of choice for Ant & Dec’s joint 40th birthday party at The Roof Gardens in London.
Pat Sharp presented his first daytime show for BBC Radio 1 at just twenty years of age back in 1982. After numerous ‘Top of the Pops’ TV appearances, he then went on to host mid mornings at 95.8 Capital FM for a decade. He has picked up numerous awards throughout his career, including a gold Sony award whilst also notching up 7 hit singles and raising £300,000 for charity as part of the infamous Stock Aitken Waterman duo ‘Pat & Mick’. He then took his mid-morning slot to #1 again at Heart London.
Over the years his radio shows have also been broadcast on BFBS for our troops worldwide, along with in-flight entertainment aboard Swissair & Virgin. Pat also hosted afternoons across the UK on Smooth Radio.
Along with ‘ FunHouse,‘ Pat also hosted other ITV shows including the Saturday morning spectacular ‘What’s Up Doc?’ ’10 Sharp’ & ‘The Gala Opening of Euro Disney’.
Pat was also the pioneer host of Sky Channel’s first pop video shows (Skytrax) shown across Europe in 28 countries via satellite throughout the 80s.
He won the DJ edition of ‘The Weakest Link’ raising £13K for charity and appeared again as a contestant on the revamped new version in 2022. His appearance on ‘The Games’ in 2004 earned him great respect from viewers and fellow contestants alike. Pat has also starred in ‘Celebrity Come Dine with Me’ & ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’. He has had acting cameo roles in the movie ‘Superman Requiem’ and in the sitcoms ‘Drifters’ and ‘Staff Room’.
In 2011 Pat Sharp swapped life behind the microphone for life in the jungle as he joined ITV’s ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’. After one of the most successful and talked about series for many years Pat emerged from the jungle after competing with Fatima Whitbread in one of the most gruelling Bush Tucker trials ever.
Recently he has appeared on ‘Eggheads’ BBC2 / ‘Coach Trip’ Ch 4 / Big Brother’s Big Mouth Ch 5 / Britain’s Got More Talent ITV 2 / Pointless Celebrities BBC1. He has also guested on ‘8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown’ & ‘I Literally Just Told You’. Pat appeared with Russell Howard in the short film ‘A Gert Lush Christmas’, plus more recently with Keith Lemon on various episodes of Through the Keyhole on ITV.
He hosted and performed to a sell-out crowd live at London’s O2 Arena with Pat & Mick as part of Pete Waterman’s Hit Factory Live extravaganza. He was also the support act for the Bros reunion gigs at the same venue, plus he’s the compere & DJ for the UK’s ‘Let’s Rock’ & Rewind summer retro festivals. He also plays yearly at Snowbombing in Austria.
Recently he starred in a television commercial for Walkers celebrating the return of their classic Quavers flavours from the 90s. His biography ‘Re-Run The Fun’ was a big seller and met with rave reviews.
With four decades + live TV, radio and hosting experience, Pat still attracts more and more new fans both old and young alike and has tens of thousands of social media followers.
