Natasha Kaplinsky
Award winning newscaster, Natasha Kaplinsky is one of televisions best known presenters. She is also a journalist, President of Dr Barnardo's and an Ambassador for Save the Children. Describing herself as a Happy Farmer on her Instagram profile Natasha is a fantastic conference facilitator and awards host. She adds maximum professionalism and a touch of glamour to any event.
About Natasha Kaplinsky
as well as being an instantly recognisable news anchor Natasha Kaplinsky has hosted numerous factual and entertainment programmes. They include: Children In Need, The VE Day Celebrations, Making Your Mind Up and The Royal Variety Show. In addition, she has hosted Restoration, That Sunday Night Show, Have I Got News For You, The Kumars at No. 42 as well as several episodes of the comedy show My Hero. She has also been the subject of Who Do You Think You Are? (BBC1).
She has previously worked as one of the anchors for ITN network and was the Face of Five, anchoring the channel’s main evening news programme. She has also been the co-host of 6 O’Clock News and BBC Breakfast as well as being a news presenter with Meridian and Carlton. Whilst working as a leading member of the presenting team at Sky News the channel won a BAFTA for Best News Channel.
Natasha discovered a hidden talent when she took part in Strictly Come Dancing, becoming the first ever winner. She went on to present the second series as well as hosting Strictly African Dancing and the Big Screen opera events for the Royal Opera House.
She has hosted many one-off documentaries including The People’s Medal, On The Run and Missing: Without a Trace (ITV).
A member of the Prime Minister’s Holocaust Commission Natasha is also a patron of both Merlin and The Willow Foundation. She is also an Ambassador for Save The Children, making her the natural choice to present Born to Shine, produced in partnership with Save The Children and nominated for the Rose D’Or. She is also the new President of Barnardo’s Charity as of 2019 and she was awarded an OBE in 2017 for her services to the Holocaust commemoration.
Natasha grew up in Kenya. Her family later moved to Sussex where she went to school before studying English at Oxford University.
