About Krishnan Guru-Murthy
Krishnan Guru-Murthy is an award-winning journalist, broadcaster and presenter, best known as one of the main anchors of Channel 4 News. Since joining the programme in 1998, he has become one of Britain’s most trusted news figures, reporting on some of the most significant global events of the past three decades, from 9/11 and the Arab Spring to the war in Ukraine.
Alongside presenting Channel 4 News, Krishnan fronts the internationally acclaimed documentary series Unreported World, travelling across the globe to uncover powerful stories often overlooked by mainstream media. He also hosts the Ways to Change the World podcast, where he interviews leading thinkers, politicians and innovators about the ideas shaping society.
Renowned for his incisive interviewing style, Krishnan has conducted high-profile interviews with world leaders, politicians, business figures and celebrities, earning widespread recognition for his ability to get to the heart of complex and often sensitive issues. In 2022, he was named Network Presenter of the Year at the Royal Television Society Journalism Awards.
Before joining Channel 4, Krishnan worked for the BBC on programmes including Newsnight and Newsround. A graduate of Oxford University, he combines sharp analysis with an engaging and accessible presentation style.
