Michelle Ackerley
Michelle Ackerley is an instantly recognisable TV presenter as well as a hugely exciting and skilled awards host. She has wealth of diverse and impressive credits to her name across the Entertainment, Children’s, Factual & Current Affairs sectors. Due to her incredible versatility as a presenter and host, Michelle is a popular choice for corporate and public events, able to adapt her style to any audience and occasion.
About Michelle Ackerley
Michelle Ackerley’s credits include the likes of the One Show, BBC daytime spin off Watchdog Test House, BBC1’s Council House Crackdown and Panorama. In addition, the BBC1’s Crimewatch Roadshow and Crimewatch: Live have more recently seen Michelle broadcasting live and appealing directly to the public for help with unsolved criminal cases.
Michelle Ackerley initially joined the BBC as a programme maker in 2005, after completing a degree in Psychology. She went on to present Totally Rubbish for CBBC as well as making guest appearances on many popular children’s series including Blue Peter and Art Ninja.
Other channels quickly started to notice her natural onscreen presence and broadcasting ability. Michelle was soon offered the opportunity to join the main presenting line up on BBC1’s Watchdog.
Michelle now has a wealth of diverse and impressive credits to her name, and has also fronted the BBC1 daytime ratings smash, NHS Fraud Squad.
As a regular host of The One Show, Michelle has interviewed some of the biggest names in showbiz. These include household names such as Samuel L Jackson, Tom Hiddleston, Danny Boyle and Naomie Harris. When not on presenting duties, she regularly fronts VT films for the show covering a wide variety of issues and subjects.
Michelle and her work across TV continued to gain pace as she went on to present UKTV’s luxurious property series Fantasy Homes By The Sea, C5’s World’s Strongest Man, BBC’s Fake Britain alongside Dom Littlewood and the return of the hugely popular BBC series, Fraud Squad: The Hunt.
Michelle has also presented a series for C5, The Wonderful World of Crafting, which sees passionate crafters up and down the country attempt to transform their beloved hobbies into businesses.
When not on screen, Michelle can be heard presenting on air across BBC 5Live’s Weekend Breakfast Show and 5Live’s Drive Show. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Michelle anchored ITV’s Loose Women and fronted HealthCheck UK Live for BBC1.
Michelle is also an ambassador for Smart Works and works as a diversity youth mentor working closely with teens that have recently left the care system. She has a sharp eye for fashion, loves the outdoors and is even partial to a spot of design and upcycling!
