About Julie Peasgood

Julie Peasgood has a multi-faceted career as an accomplished actress, TV presenter and producer, voice-over artist, award-winning author and events host. Honoured by the Royal Television Society with their celebrated Television Personality of the Year Award, Julie’s acting career spans over fifty years of prestigious theatre and television, including five years with the Royal Shakespeare Company, but she is probably best known for having been a regular in no less than three soaps: Brookside, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.

Julie has also made her mark as a prolific travel and lifestyle writer: she was Contributing Editor for Cruise & Travel magazine for nine years and has had long-running columns in Group Leisure and Travel, Crafts Beautiful, Yours and Now magazines, as well as being a regular contributor to Metro, the Mail on Sunday and Sunday Mirror.

A veteran of over 100 cruises – as a travel presenter, cruise reviewer and guest speaker – Julie decided in 2018 to combine her love of cruise travel with her passion and knowledge of crafts, to form her highly successful company Supercraft Cruises, employing teams of specialist craft tutors to deliver unique, cutting edge workshops on worldwide cruises. Last but not least, Julie famously put the pop into Birds Eye Peas and set a record as the slowest ever contestant on Celebrity Total Wipeout. She delivers a fascinating talk about all the different aspects of her career, entitled From the RSC to Birds Eye Pea and an increasingly valuable Memory Makeover.
