About Jacquie Davis
After leaving the police force in the 1970s, Jacquie built an international reputation within the heavily male-dominated world of close protection. Over the course of her career she has worked with clients including J. K. Rowling, Diana Ross, Nicole Kidman, Justin Bieber and the Beckhams, while also leading hostage rescue and recovery operations in countries including Pakistan and Iraq.
Jacquie spent four years as J.K. Rowling’s personal bodyguard during the height of Harry Potter mania and has survived numerous life-threatening situations throughout her career, including shootings, attacks and operations in conflict zones. Her extraordinary experiences inspired the 2019 Close, released by Netflix and starring Noomi Rapace.
As a speaker, Jacquie shares insights into leadership, risk management, resilience, personal safety, crisis response and operating under pressure. Her talks combine remarkable real-life stories with lessons on preparation, decision-making and staying calm in extreme situations.
