About Harry Allen

Harry Allen is a world record-holding rower who endured 42 days 8 hours and 10 minutes of the harsh conditions of the Atlantic Ocean. He has experienced things that not even 0.1% of the population ever will. His crossing showed many lessons and skills that he could bring to the table to impact his audiences and deliver them a story of inspiration, integrity, and, most of all, camaraderie.

Harry spent weeks at sea, missing his 20th birthday, Christmas and new year with his family and friends. He did all of this in a tiny 10M ocean rowing boat facing sleep deprivation, extreme weather conditions, equipment and mechanical failure, and most of all, the relentless mental and physical battle that comes with such huge isolation in the middle of this beautiful ocean. He rowed 2 hours on 2 hours off all day every day, with only his 2 teammates and sheer resilience to rely on. Harry learned first hand what high performance, leadership under pressure and team cohesion truly means when there is no safety net and no option to quit.

Despite the sheer difficulty of this challenge, Harry experienced the beauty of Mother Nature, sharing experiences with the natural night sky, many shooting stars and even a birthday present from a pod of dolphins. For the first time in his life, he saw first hand a part of the world that only a handful of people will ever see. Not only did he see this, this became his natural habitat, having to row, eat, sleep, clean and relax. There was no way out.

Harry and his team inspired the youth of today, running a global campaign gaining a huge outreach telling people about their story. They raised funds during their expedition for Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity close to Harry and the team’s heart.

Harry speaks with honesty and energy about mental resilience, handling uncertainty, quick decision-making in high-stakes life-threatening situations, and building trust in his small team of 3. His story resonates strongly with corporate audiences navigating pressure, change and ambitious targets.

Through powerful storytelling and practical takeaways, Harry leaves audiences inspired, challenged and equipped to perform when it matters most.
