About Charlotte Hawkins

Charlotte Hawkins is a great choice for an event host and she is equally talented at facilitating having interviewed many an entertainment star from David Beckham to Oprah Winfrey. She has hosted Sky News’s BAFTAs show, and also presented live from LA on the Oscars red carpet.

Biography

Charlotte Hawkins originally worked at Sky News for seven years presenting on Sunrise with Eamonn Holmes.

She also hosted her own daily news show. Charlotte anchored Sunrise live during the Olympics, presented live on location for the Diamond Jubilee and Royal Wedding, and was also live on location for Sky News’ General Election coverage.

On the arts front, Charlotte hosts cinema broadcasts of Andre Rieu concerts every year which are shown in hundreds of theatres across Europe, having also presented an in-depth documentary for Sky Arts ‘Andre Rieu: Behind the Music’.

It was Charlotte’s degree in English Language & Literature and postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism which led her to join ITN Radio.

Charlotte began her broadcasting career working at ITV Meridian as a producer and reporter, before co-presenting the main regional news show for four years. During that time, she also co-hosted the current affairs discussion series The Big Story.

It was Charlotte’s degree in English Language & Literature and postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism which led her to join ITN Radio, where one of her early assignments was covering the Paddington rail crash.

Charlotte is a keen travel writer, having been published in The Mail on Sunday, The Daily Telegraph and The Independent newspapers.
In her spare time Charlotte supports several charities including the Motor Neurone Disease Association, a disease which her father was diagnosed with in 2011.
