About Bridgid Nzekwu
Renowned for her ability to interpret a brief and elevate every speaker, Bridgid ensures events generate meaningful content for marketing, sponsorship and thought leadership. She has chaired high-profile panels, roundtables and conferences for FTSE 100 companies, global brands, public sector bodies, industry associations and charities, consistently drawing out sharp insight and compelling discussion.
Bridgid is also available for inspirational keynote speeches, particularly on the theme of resilience. Having survived Hodgkin lymphoma and breast cancer, and more recently undergoing ten hours of open-heart surgery, she brings authenticity, strength and perspective to her talks — combining lived experience with journalistic authority.
Bridgid is Director of Media Training at PA Media Group, coaching senior leaders and high-profile spokespeople in public speaking, media interviews and crisis communication. She was named Outstanding Woman in Professional Services at the 2018 Precious Awards.
During her journalism career, she served as a Channel 4 News anchor and specialist Money Reporter, becoming a finalist at the Business Journalist of the Year Awards in 2009, before later joining ITV News as a newsreader. Prior to journalism, she worked in the tech sector, advising organisations on digitisation strategies and new media development — giving her a rare combination of editorial and commercial expertise.
Bridgid has hosted and moderated events for organisations including Lloyds Banking Group, Sainsbury’s plc, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, NHS England and the Fairtrade Foundation, at venues such as the Las Vegas Convention Center, Gleneagles, The Belfry and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. She is equally accomplished in the virtual arena, hosting global broadcasts such as the World Hydropower Congress, where she interviewed international figures including former Bank of England Governor Mark Carney on sustainable finance.
With a specialist interest in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, nutrition, resilience and wellbeing, Bridgid’s professional work is complemented by personal experience and continued study. She has presented for Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies, written for The Sunday Times about her cancer journey, and qualified with distinction in reflexology after studying anatomy and physiology.
As an event host and moderator, Bridgid combines journalistic precision with warmth and authority — ensuring conversations are insightful, inclusive and commercially relevant, whether on a conference stage or in a global broadcast setting.
