About Mark Jones

Mark Jones began his career at BBC Manchester before moving to Liverpool’s Radio City, he earned industry recognition, including a Sony Award for hosting the Michael Jackson concert at Aintree Racecourse, attended by more than 125,000 people.

A highly accomplished compère, Mark has hosted thousands of events and worked alongside some of the biggest names in sport, including David Beckham, Freddie Flintoff, Ryan Giggs, Sir Alex Ferguson, Frank Bruno, Sir Ian Botham and Sir Richard Hadlee. He also fronted a successful sports entertainment tour for British troops in Kosovo alongside England World Cup winners Alan Ball and Jack Charlton.

Mark has extensive sports broadcasting experience, covering both cricket and rugby league. He has appeared on Channel 4 and Sky Sports, presenting interviews during One Day Internationals, Test Matches and County Championship coverage with legendary figures including Sir Ian Botham, David Gower, Michael Holding, Richie Benaud and David “Bumble” Lloyd. He has also reported on Manchester United and Liverpool FC pre-season tours in the United States.

Alongside his television work, Mark has enjoyed a successful radio career with stations including Century FM, Real Radio, Magic 1548 Liverpool and Magic 1152 Manchester. His broadcasting experience has also taken him to the United States, where he has presented on local radio and hosted prestigious fundraising events for the American Heart Association.

Known for his warmth, professionalism and quick wit, Mark is a popular choice as a host, compère and after-dinner speaker.
