Collectables Expert Tracy Martin on BBC Inside Out – Monday 5th March 7.30pm

Tracy Martin  appears on BBC Inside Out to talk about the resurgence on popularity of brown furniture.

Known as the Queen of 19th and 20th Century Collectables Tracy is passionate about  Collectables   and she is delighted to share her expert knowledge with Jasmine Birtles tonight at 7.30pm.  What makes her happy is she predicted that brown furniture was coming back some time ago.

Tracy says invest now by buying into the affordable pieces at the lower end of the market which can be found at auction, antiques fairs and shops across the country. Practical, tactile, sturdy and attractive everyone can add interest to their home by bringing back brown furniture.

She actively encourages people to create a statement by mixing with contemporary pieces for a stylish injection of history in their home or office.  Tracy suggests filling a Georgian bookcase with modern literature as the centre piece to an office or  simply invest in a Victorian console table for added elegance to a hallway. Other places Tracy recommends you look for brown furniture is on the internet at both auction sites and well known selling sites such as Gumtree.
