About Krishnan Guru-Murthy

Krishnan Guru-Murthy has other claims to fame including appearing in 2019’s series of Stand Up and Cancer’s Celebrity Great British Bake Off for Channel 4.  He also commentated for Channel 4’s coverage of the opening ceremony of the 2014 Sochi Winter Paralympics.

Biography

Krishnan Guru-Murthy has during his extensive time on Channel 4, reported on major events, such as the Omagh bombing, 9/11 and the Mumbai attacks. He has also covered five General Elections and regularly chairs political debate shows, such as ‘Ask the Chancellor’.

His three part authored documentary Hindu Lives, was heard on BBC Radio 4. He presented The Autopsy; the first public post-mortem broadcast live on Channel 4 and has hosted various debates for Channel 4, including Think TV about the impact of reality television and The Difference Debate about human genetics. Prior to moving to C4, Krishnan presented Newsnight for BBC2.
